Light therapy involves regular exposures to strong and safe light. It has originally been developed to treat seasonal affective disorder (SAD), winter depression. Light therapy can also be effective against other biological rhythm disorders such as jet lag. Bright light as a therapy is easy and comfortable. Most often one does not need any medication against winter blues, only a daily doze of bright light.
